What makes people assholes? Seriously?
I reviewing some Amazon.com feedback for my store today and I see this:
4 out of 5: "Easy ordering and delivery. Exactly what I ordered. "
4 out of 5: "product is nice, and was shipped and delivered as it was due to."
4 out of 5: "Excellent seller. Thank you!"
4 out of 5: "Item arrived promptly - thank you"
4 out of 5: "Item was a gift and arrived on time!"
....there are plenty more where that came from
What the hell do I have to do for a 5 out of 5? Come to your house and teach you to play while I suck on your dog's nuts? Why are some people opposed to letting other people know they did a good job? I've seen it a million times here in retail. I sold Honda cars for a year (my sheer number of jobs will probably be a recurring theme here) and I only had 1 imperfect customer satisfaction survey in a whole year. It was from my wife's boss. I asked every customer that if there was ANYTHING I needed to do to make sure the survey went back perfect to call and let me know. I would gladly go to someone's house to show them how to program the garage door opener if that's what it took. I didn't sell the most cars, make the most money, make the most calls, but dammit I was going to at least let Honda and my bosses know that I treated my customers to hopefully the best car buying experience possible. BUT NOOOOOOO. Dr asshole has to go and ding me for thigs I had no control over and that had nothing to do with the survey.
Then there is this person:
2 out of 5: "I would never use this seller again. I was charged $4.49 for shipping and they sent the 2oz. envelope by regular mail. They are prompt in their email reply but only to the tune of we are sorry that it has not arrived yet. They offer no excuse for the overcharge on postage nor the fact that the site where you can track the package has not been updated since their ship date of April 20. "
Let me get this straight......You ordered from us......we have a clearly labeled shipping price AND the only other guy on Amazon charges the same plus $7.75 shipping and your bitching (it was for a Mah Jong rules card). DON"T FUCKING ORDER THE DAMNED THING THEN, BITCH!!! Apparently you're too fucking stupid to read so how the fuck do you expect to be able top play Mah Jong? This bitch would probably tip less because she didn't like the price of the food. If you don't like the price, go elsewhere.
NOTE TO THE WORLD. People in retail work hard (too damned hard sometimes) so you can buy your shit. What's wrong with letting people know they've done a good job. Be nice to the lady at the service desk, or the guy that went out of their way to get something down off the top shelf even though there are plenty of the same item on the shelf but your anal retentive ass needs a perfect box just so you can tear it open when you get home.
If you like retail rants be sure to check out ACTS OF GORD. Been a favorite of mine for years. Retail workers will get a kick out of it especially.
